The first of the CB450's were produced in 1965.
The "Black Bomber" as it was labeled was proclaimed to be the first of
the "big" japanese bikes. It's design seemed to be aimed fairly squarely
at the european roadbikes of the time. The 450 would rev out to around
10,000 rpm which was something special back in '65, as most of the European
bikes would sign off at around 6,500.
